This guide will walk you through setting up your account and getting ready to use the ConductorQA platform effectively.

Initial Account Creation

Sign Up Process

  1. Access the Platform

    • Navigate to the platform URL provided by your organization
    • Click “Sign Up” to begin the registration process
  2. Complete Registration

    • Email Address: Enter your work email address
    • Name: Provide your first and last name
    • Password: Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters)
    • Organization: You’ll be automatically added to your organization
  3. Email Verification

    • Check your email for a verification link
    • Click the verification link to activate your account
    • Return to the platform to sign in
  4. First Sign In

    • Use your email and password to access the platform
    • You’ll be directed to the home dashboard

Profile Configuration

Complete Your Profile

After your first sign in, complete your profile information:

  1. Personal Information

    • Update your display name if needed
    • Confirm your email address
    • Add any additional contact information
  2. Role Assignment

    • Your role will be assigned by your organization administrator
    • Common roles include: QA Engineer, Test Manager, Developer, Admin
  3. Preferences

    • Set your timezone for accurate timestamps
    • Configure notification preferences
    • Choose your preferred dashboard layout

Organization Setup

Understanding Your Organization

Your Organization is the top-level container that includes:

  • All projects and test data
  • Team members and their roles
  • Organization-wide settings
  • Billing and subscription information
  • API key management

Organization Roles

Different roles provide different levels of access:

  • Admin: Full access to all organization features
  • Manager: Can manage projects and team members
  • QA Engineer: Can create and execute tests
  • Viewer: Read-only access to projects and results

Dashboard Overview

Home Dashboard Features

When you first sign in, you’ll see the Home Dashboard which provides:

  • Total Test Suites across all projects
  • Total Test Cases across all projects

  • Daily Test Runs: Trend chart showing passed/failed breakdown
  • Test Run Status Distribution: Visual pie chart of test outcomes
  • Success Rate Trend: Historical success rate over time

Time Period Filtering

Filter all dashboard data by:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days
  • Last 1 year

Insights Section

  • Flaky Test Detection: Identify unreliable tests

  • Recent Activity: Latest test runs and updates
